Role description
As an Equipment Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in implementing and optimizing maintenance strategies to ensure smooth, uninterrupted manufacturing operations. Working under the guidance of the Engineering Manager, you will lead troubleshooting efforts, support preventive maintenance, and liaise with external suppliers. This role is instrumental in ensuring equipment compliance with GMP standards and supporting production goals within a regulated, high-performance environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement robust maintenance strategies for manufacturing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment.
  • Guide and train technicians in maintenance procedures.
  • Manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability during critical repairs.
  • Support calibration and preventive maintenance activities without deviation.
  • Collaborate with suppliers on equipment solutions and tool improvements.
  • Ensure full compliance with GMP, health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and reliability enhancements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Life Sciences, or a related technical field.
  • 2–4 years of maintenance or engineering experience in a GMP or medical devices environment.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Experience with equipment validation (URS, FAT, SAT) and vendor coordination.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and integrate outcomes into operations.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting, process improvement, and project execution.
