About the Role
As a Global Supplier Engineer, you’ll take a leading role in managing technical projects tied to raw material suppliers for the Groningen manufacturing site and potentially across other global facilities. You'll work cross-functionally to drive improvements in quality, delivery, cost, and design, using your strong engineering expertise and project management skills. This role is ideal for a technically hands-on engineer with supplier-facing experience and a track record of delivering process and product improvements in regulated environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute technical projects across quality, delivery, and cost, using project management and Six Sigma tools.
- Serve as the technical lead on supplier-related quality issues and investigations, driving root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Work closely with teams like Procurement, Quality, Planning, and R&D to make sure raw materials are always available, and to support product updates and new product launches.
- Identify and deliver improvement initiatives related to injection molding, part/tool design, and assembly processes.
- Engage in cross-site raw material projects (Groningen-Kulim-Anasco), collaborating across time zones and functions.
- Manage project budgets from initiation through implementation and closeout.
- Serve as the technical point of contact for suppliers and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
- Provide visibility and updates in cases of risk, urgency, or deviation from plan.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science).
- 5+ years of relevant engineering experience in manufacturing or supplier-facing roles.
- Skilled in project management and statistical analysis; Six Sigma/Lean certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of plastic injection molding processes, materials, tooling, metrology, and GD&T.
- Experience in regulated industries with GMP and compliance knowledge.
- Familiarity with Minitab or similar statistical tools preferred.
- English and Dutch are both mandatory due to procedural needs.
- Willingness to travel up to 15%, domestically and internationally.
