About the Position
We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Construction Supervisor to oversee field implementation of engineering projects. This dual-role position combines hands-on construction supervision with responsibilities as a technical safety specialist. You’ll ensure that projects are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all internal and external standards. Responsibilities
Construction Supervision
-Oversee daily on-site construction activities to ensure progress aligns with project plans and timelines
-Coordinate and manage contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure quality execution
-Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular site inspections and safety briefings
-Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders, resolving on-site issues promptly
-Monitor work quality and ensure compliance with technical standards
Technical Safety Leadership
-Improve and manage site safety systems, including permit-to-work, LOTOTO, FARIP, and working at heights
-Conduct risk assessments and provide input on safety strategies in project planning
-Coach EVM team members to enhance safety awareness and behaviors
-Participate in audits and inspections (e.g., ISO 14001, internal compliance reviews)
-Lead or contribute to incident investigations and root cause analysis
-Deliver safety-related training sessions to internal teams
Requirements
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field
-Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction supervision or project management
-Strong background in safety standards and regulations, preferably with ISO 14001 exposure
-Experience in complex organizational environments, especially during periods of change
-Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to coach, lead, and influence cross-functional teams
-Skilled in risk assessment, stakeholder communication, and problem-solving
-Fluency in both Dutch and English (spoken and written)
-A safety certification such as Secondary Safety Expert (MVK) or equivalent is a plus
