Role description
As a Logistics Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire logistics operation during your shift. You will lead a team, ensure smooth workflows, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Your focus will be on maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency while fostering a proactive team culture.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coach a team of around 25 logistics professionals, including Operators and Reach Truck Drivers.
- Ensure smooth inbound, storage, and outbound logistics processes.
- Maintain close communication with internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing operational enhancements.
- Develop and manage team performance through training, evaluations, and coaching.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality regulations in all logistics operations.
- Bachelor’s degree (HBO level) with a technical or logistics background.
- At least 4 years of experience in a logistics or operational role.
- Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English.
- Ability to coordinate across different levels of the organization and provide constructive feedback.
- Experience working in a continuous improvement environment.
- Willingness to work in a 3-shift rotation (early, late, and night shifts).
