The Role
As a Principal Equipment Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, installation, and ongoing performance of equipment used in device assembly, inspection, labeling, and packaging operations. Your work ensures operational efficiency, product quality, and regulatory compliance by leading technical projects and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. This is a hands-on engineering role involving technical design, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement within a regulated manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
-Lead technical projects supporting equipment and process improvements.
-Oversee full equipment lifecycle from design to implementation and maintenance
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability.
-Troubleshoot equipment failures and drive root cause investigations and corrective actions.
-Support the implementation of safety and productivity improvements.
-Develop and coordinate detailed engineering documentation: URS, FDS, HDS, and DS.
-Conduct equipment characterization studies by executing controlled experiments.
-Participate in Factory and Site Acceptance Testing (FAT/SAT).
-Oversee equipment installation, testing, and commissioning to ensure specification compliance.
-Scope and manage projects in line with priorities and resource availability.
-Ensure equipment design aligns with performance and compliance standards.
-Provide engineering support for equipment-related deviations and investigations.
-Ensure tasks are completed in accordance with GMP and internal policies.
-Promote a safe and compliant work environment in line with environmental and health standards.
Requirements
-Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
-Minimum 6 years of experience in engineering roles, with at least 4 years in a manufacturing or operations environment.
-Strong understanding of GMP and regulatory compliance in manufacturing settings.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
-Proficient in MS Office and basic technical software tools.
-Familiarity with project management tools and practices.
