The company
Our multinational client is a biotechnology company based in North Holland. They are on the aspiring mission to find the cure to cancer, by working on making cancer immunotherapy products, and focusing on cell therapy.

Role description
As a Strategic Project Manager you will plan, organize, and integrate a complex project, specifically, the construction of a new pharma facility. You will work within the Business Strategy and Operations department, and cooperate with internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for the efficient and high-quality delivery of initiatives. Besides working mainly as a PM, you will also be able to learn and contribute in other areas (e.g., Portfolio Management and Operational Excellence) to bring benefit to the site.

Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee a complex strategic project at the site level throughout all the stages, from gate reviews through the set milestones to completion.
- Liaise with people working on the project, e.g., contractors, with leads regarding the technicalities, and with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the alignment of local execution.
Work on Gantt charts, action and decision logs, RACIs, risk registers, meeting agendas and other standard PM practices.  
Make sure that the facility will be of high quality, appoint areas of further improvements.  

Requirements
- Relevant degree in Life Sciences, combined with at least 3-5 years of Project Management experience in the life sciences industry (biotech/pharma/devices – pharma/GMP experience is preferred).
Experience leading projects within production or construction. Experience leading a project to build cleanrooms is a huge plus!
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project or a similar PM tool is required.
- Experience in managing stakeholders and working in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
Being a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or having a Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate is a big plus.
