You will manage the specifications for micro ingredients in Europe. Depending on various projects or business needs this could include flavours, colours, minerals, vitamins, amino acids etc. In this role you will connect with various stakeholders in the company and with suppliers to align details of specifications to ensure full food safety and regulatory compliance. So eventually you will achieve the highest standards of finished products for sensitive customers.

- Creating specifications to meet the needs of the end product, consumer and market
- Managing the specifications approval process
- Maintaining up to date data in SAP
- To ensure that new and existing ingredients specifications used in products for China are compliant to relevant requirements
- Maintain a compliant ingredient database and keep it up to date
- Participate in challenging & dynamic business projects within multidisciplinary project teams
- To build strong working relationships with relevant global, local, internal and external stakeholders, with an emphasis on understanding & communicating the latest requirements to relevant colleagues
- To support onsite audit in EU factories when required
- To lead or effectively support other Specification Managers in negotiations with suppliers, to form mutual agreements which satisfy the needs of the company
- To creation of specifications if required and/or use of SAP
- Inspire and influence internal stakeholders towards specification management ambition

- Bsc or Msc degree in food science/technology
- Experience in Quality, Safety or Regulatory area in the food industry
- Experience with ingredient specification is a plus
- Experience and knowledge of micro ingredients is a plus
- Experience in working in ERP systems (SAP) is a plus
- If you speak a Chinese language it's a very big plus
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to drive cross-functional discussions
- Ability to collate/interpret analytical data, draw conclusions and propose next steps for business.
- Ability to prioritize workload effectively and enthusiasm to independently
- Ability to work structurally and focused with good time management skills
