Role Description
As an Electrical Engineer, you will support electrical and instrumentation activities across projects, maintenance, production, and commissioning. With a strong focus on instrumentation and a solid foundation in electrical and control system design, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe and compliant solutions from concept through start-up.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver electrical and instrumentation solutions for projects and operational support.
- Develop clear conceptual and detailed designs with proper technical documentation.
- Ensure all designs comply with company standards, industry codes, and regulations.
- Act as a technical expert for E&I standards and procedures, supporting internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead the E&I discipline within assigned projects and coordinate with engineering contractors.
- Manage engineering work to meet project schedules, budgets, and quality requirements.
- Support commissioning, start-up, and troubleshooting activities.
- Communicate engineering solutions with Operations, Maintenance, and other internal teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or similar.
- Industry experience, preferably in the (petro)chemical or industrial sector.
- Good knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (ATEX, IEC, NEN, Machinery Directive).
- Strong affinity with instrumentation and experience in electrical and control system design.
- Knowledge of power electronics, VFDs, automation, and safety systems (SIL/SIS).
- Understanding of the full project lifecycle from engineering to commissioning.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
