Role Description
As a Warehouse First Line Supervisor, you will oversee daily warehouse operations while managing a team responsible for goods reception, storage, safety equipment, PPE distribution, mailroom, and administrative processes. You will ensure smooth workflow, strong safety compliance, and high operational standards while fostering a positive and productive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate daily activities across goods received, warehouse management, safety shop, PPE distribution, mailroom, and administration.
- Monitor and optimize work processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and safety.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies, housekeeping standards, and operational procedures.
- Motivate, support, and coach team members to maintain high performance and morale.
- Act as the communication link between staff and management, ensuring accurate and timely information flow.
- Respond effectively to operational, safety, environmental, and personnel-related incidents.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow up on PRs and POs related to materials and inventory.
- Collaborate with facility and logistics teams to ensure operational continuity and inventory accuracy.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience managing teams of 15–20 employees in a warehouse or industrial environment.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills to optimize processes.
- Good understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and internal logistics.
- Ability to manage change, handle uncertainty, and make sound decisions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead and motivate diverse teams.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP is an advantage.
- Experience in the petrochemical industry is a plus, particularly regarding safety and logistics standards.
- Fluency in Dutch and English.
