Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operations Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse activities within a dynamic industrial setting. The successful candidate will manage a team responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing goods while ensuring safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. This role involves coordinating various departments and processes to maintain smooth operations in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise teams handling goods receiving, warehouse management, safety equipment, PPE distribution, mailroom functions, and administrative tasks related to procurement.
- Oversee the receipt and inspection of incoming materials and ensure accurate recording in inventory management systems.
- Manage internal logistics, including booking goods in and out and processing orders.
- Supervise the safety shop and ensure proper storage and distribution of safety materials and PPE.
- Coordinate mailroom activities and handle correspondence logistics.
- Follow up on purchase requests and procurement orders to support inventory needs.
- Develop and optimize workflows and processes to improve efficiency.
- Foster a positive team environment, motivate staff, and support continuous team development.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, housekeeping standards, and operational policies.
- Respond to operational, safety, environmental, and personnel incidents effectively.
Requirements:
- Proven experience managing teams of 15-20 employees in a warehouse or similar logistics environment.
- Strong analytical and strategic skills with a focus on process optimization.
- Good understanding of warehouse processes, inventory management, and internal logistics.
- Affinity with facility management and safety protocols.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably SAP, for inventory and order processing (a plus).
- Experience in the petrochemical or industrial sector is a plus, especially understanding safety standards and compliance.
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.
- Ability to handle organizational change and adapt to dynamic environments.
