QA Release Specialist, Beilen, Drenthe

Our client
Our client operates one of the largest dairy production sites in the Netherlands, producing infant formula and ingredients for global markets. The site employs 600+ people and is committed to product quality and infant nutrition.

Role overview
As a QA Release Specialist, you will continuously improve the QA Release process, manage major quality issues, act as the bridge between QA and processing, and help drive root-cause analysis and preventive actions.

Key responsibilities
- Improve QA Release process: identify issues using complex data and translate into action plans/KPIs.
- Lead or participate in RCA/SAAB sessions and act as first point of contact for major quality issues.
- Approve deviation proposals and sign COAs where authorised.
- Prepare and draft quality reports (FTR, RTFT, Quality notifications) and management reports.
- Support production meetings and act as backup for QA release coordinator.
- Coach team members and run gap/trend analyses to drive continuous improvement.
- Participate in audits and stakeholder communications.

Requirements
- HBO in Food Technology, HLO or equivalent.
- 5–10 years relevant experience in food or pharma QA (dairy/infant food experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of product/process quality, microbiology and allergens.
- SAP-QM and Power BI experience.
- Fluent Dutch and English (spoken & written).
- Proven RCA/CAPA and deviation handling skills.
- Laboratory studies or hands-on lab experience.
- Experience with baby food standards and infant formula processes.
- Lean/Six Sigma exposure and experience in SAAB/RCA facilitation.
