The client is a global pharmaceutical and personal care company with vaccine, biologics and medical devices divisions in the Netherlands.

Role Description
As an Electric Maintenance Engineer you'll play a key role in keeping our advanced production systems running smoothly. Your technical knowledge and problem-solving skills will directly impact the quality and reliability of our pharmaceutical production processes. This is a unique opportunity to support the creation of highly personalized medicines in a collaborative, innovative, and safety-driven environment. 

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the reliability and smooth operation of production and utility systems by performing both reactive and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Diagnosing and resolving equipment malfunctions efficiently, working closely with operations to prioritize and coordinate work.
  • Taking the lead in troubleshooting complex technical issues and proactively sharing insights with colleagues and contractors.
  • Identifying and recommending improvements to increase system efficiency, reduce downtime, and enhance maintenance processes.
  • Upholding strict safety, compliance, and GMP standards during all maintenance activities.
  • Participating in strategic maintenance and facility improvement projects to support long-term system performance.
  • Starting each day with a team meeting to align on tasks, updates, and operational priorities. 

Requirements

  • An education or equivalent experience, preferably in electrical engineering or instrumentation and control technology.
  • Hands-on technical experience in an industrial setting as a maintenance, service, or troubleshooting technician.
  • Skilled in identifying, analyzing, and resolving faults in production and utility systems.
  • Strong commitment to equipment availability and minimizing operational risk.
  • A proactive, safety-first mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
  • Possession of a valid category B driver’s license. 
  • Design experience, this role is a senior one.
