About the Role

We’re currently seeking a professional to support our client’s strategic procurement goals across global meat, egg, and seafood categories. Based in Rotterdam, this 6-month contract role (with potential for extension) is a high-impact opportunity within a purpose-led organization.
You’ll play a key role in managing supplier relationships, supporting sustainability commitments like cage-free eggs and high-welfare meat sourcing, and driving value through global procurement strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the global sourcing strategy for animal proteins (eggs, meat, seafood), aligned with cost, quality, and sustainability goals.
  • Manage direct procurement responsibilities for Europe and support coordination across regions including Asia, Africa, and the Americas.
  • Lead procurement initiatives for chicken and seafood on a global scale.
  • Support the rollout of cage-free sourcing in Latin America and globally.
  • Monitor key market drivers and trends to support accurate forecasting and cost control.
  • Support tender processes and lead supplier negotiations focused on value and ethical standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in R&D, Sustainability, and Finance to align procurement with innovation and business needs.
  • Drive supplier performance improvements and ensure compliance with quality, service, and sustainability standards.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Procurement or supply chain professional with international experience (FMCG experience preferred).
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Ability to analyze market data and develop actionable procurement insights.
  • Experience working in cross-functional and multicultural environments.
  • SAP proficiency and strong project management skills.
  • Fluent in English; other languages are a plus.
  • Passionate about sustainability, ethical sourcing, and continuous improvement.
