The Role
We're looking for a Purchasing Assistant Manager to join the global procurement team. In this role, you will support the development and execution of a global procurement strategy focused on animal protein categories such as meat, eggs, and seafood. The emphasis will be on cost efficiency, supply chain resilience, and maintaining high animal welfare standards.

Responsibilities
-Assist in managing the end-to-end procurement process for animal proteins across Europe and support coordination globally.
-Drive savings initiatives and support delivery of procurement KPIs (NMCI, NMI, cash targets, etc.).
-Contribute to implementation of animal welfare sourcing strategies, including cage-free eggs and high-welfare chicken.
-Conduct market analysis, price forecasting, and supplier evaluations.
-Support supplier selection, contract negotiation, and relationship management.
-Collaborate with cross-functional global teams in R&D, Finance, Sustainability, and Category.
-Oversee supply continuity, develop contingency plans, and manage supplier performance.
-Drive innovation and supply improvements in partnership with global category teams.


Requirements
-Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field.
-3+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in FMCG or food categories.
-Experience with SAP and procurement systems.
-Comfortable working in an international and cross-functional environment.
-Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
