Role description
As a Maintenance Work Planner, you’ll play a key role in preparing and coordinating technical maintenance tasks for the production site. You will ensure work is scoped, scheduled, resourced, and executed efficiently — with a strong focus on safety, timely execution, and collaboration between internal technicians and external contractors. You’ll also take part in planning improvements, managing technical documentation, and keeping preventive maintenance up to date.
Key responsibilities
- Define the scope and planning of maintenance activities (duration, costs, resources, safety requirements)
- Request and compare quotes for materials or contractors; select the best suppliers
- Coordinate and assign work to internal and external technicians
- Monitor material availability and ensure timely delivery
- Create and manage the maintenance schedule in close collaboration with stakeholders
- Track work progress, validate technician hours, and manage spare parts administration
- Review and approve invoices, keep documentation and contracts up to date
- Propose and implement improvements for recurring maintenance requests
- Ensure all safety permits and planning requirements are met
- Standardize repetitive tasks and contribute to the preventive maintenance plan
Requirements
- MBO level 4 diploma or HBO (Bachelor's) preferred – technical background in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or similar
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar planning or maintenance coordination role within the process industry
- Familiar with Lean, WCOM, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
- Knowledge of maintenance systems such as Ultimo or SAP, and methodologies like RCM or TPM
- Understanding of relevant industry regulations and quality standards
- Strong analytical, proactive, and service-oriented mindset
- Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English
