Role Description
The QA & Compliance Specialist for Specialized Nutrition supports the adaptation of recipes and labels for co-manufactured products to ensure compliance with FSMP (Food for Special Medical Purpose) regulations and Quality & Food Safety (QFS) requirements. This role is crucial at ensuring that the entire product portfolio for the current projects aligns with the latest regulatory and internal standards.
Responsibilities
- Represent the QFS function in relevant projects, collaborating with quality managers, internal teams, and co-manufacturers to ensure compliance with the latest regulations and standards.
- Conduct technical reviews and risk assessments, identifying non-conformities and defining corrective actions with R&I and co-manufacturers.
- Support root cause analysis for product adjustments, overseeing trials, evaluations, and reformulation efforts to ensure quality compliance.
- Update product specifications and labels in coordination with R&I and operations teams, ensuring smooth commercialization of adjusted products.
- Ensure efficient project execution by aligning stakeholders, optimizing processes, and supporting regulatory submissions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in food technology, quality, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years (with a Bachelor’s degree) or 1 year (with a Master’s) of experience in a similar role, preferably within the food or pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and drive results in a cross-functional environment.
- Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with internal teams, co-manufacturers, and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
