About the Position
As a Food Safety & Compliance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our client’s specialized nutrition products adhere to the latest regulations and internal quality standards. You will be the key quality representative in a large-scale compliance project, working closely with cross-functional teams and co-manufacturers to review, assess, and enhance product formulations, labels, and manufacturing processes. Your expertise will help drive continuous improvement and maintain the integrity of these essential nutrition products.
Responsibilities
-Act as the primary Quality & Food Safety (QFS) representative for all co-manufacturing projects related to compliance and regulatory updates.
-Collaborate with quality managers, ensuring that regulatory and quality inputs are effectively communicated and integrated across departments and co-manufacturers.
-Participate in technical reviews and risk assessments, identifying potential non-conformities and working with stakeholders to implement corrective actions.
-Partner with Research & Innovation (R&I) teams and co-manufacturers to analyze root causes of quality deviations and develop action plans for label updates or recipe modifications.
-Oversee product trials and evaluations, ensuring that revised formulations meet all safety and quality requirements.
-Update finished product specifications in coordination with R&I and manufacturing partners after recipe adjustments.
-Support product registration processes and collaborate with operations teams to facilitate seamless product commercialization following label and formulation changes.
Requirements
-Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Quality Management, or a related field.
-At least 3 years of experience (for Bachelor's) or 1 year of experience (for Master's) in a similar role within the food or nutrition industry.
-Strong ability to work independently while effectively managing multiple tasks and priorities.
-Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
-Proven experience in project management is a plus.
-Ability to lead in challenging situations, providing structured solutions for risk mitigation and decision-making.
-Proficiency in MS Office tools.
-Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
