Role Description
The Operator - Complex Compounding will be responsible for manufacturing bulk pharmaceutical products, which serve as the foundation for the fill-finish department. This role ensures the production of high-quality pharmaceutical batches that impact patient health and well-being. You will be actively involved in dispensing, compounding, and filtrating products throughout the Manufacturing Operations department.
Responsibilities
- Setting up and starting equipment according to cleanroom SOPs, and cGMP.
- Dispensing, compounding, and filtrating the company's sterile products.
- Assisting with basic equipment maintenance under the direction of the Engineering team.
- Adhering to health and safety procedures and work practices to minimize accidents/incidents.
- Performing operational duties to ensure the final product meets high-quality standards.
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards in your assigned area, following cGMP.
- Participating in troubleshooting and resolving process issues to meet site performance goals.
- Communicating any non-conformance to the management team and taking ownership of corrective actions.
- Completing batch documentation and associated manufacturing records accurately, ensuring full compliance with SOPs and cGMP.
Requirements
- A degree in an Engineering or Science discipline, or experience in batch manufacturing (dispensing, compounding) within a highly regulated industry like pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or food manufacturing.
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills relevant to pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Good communication skills in Dutch or English, with a willingness to improve your Dutch if necessary.
- A proactive self-starter with the ability to set and meet high-performance standards.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team of operations professionals.
- Must be clean-shaven (or willing to be clean-shaven on request) to wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for certain tasks, such as cleaning and disinfection in compounding areas.
- Willingness to work in shifts: The role is in shifts 16/7 with flexibility to move into 24/7 when required 16/7 work in morning and evening shift including weekends in a pattern m/m/e/e/ followed by 2 days off (weekends (Saturday/Sunday) cwk will work 6 out of 7 weekends). 24/7 shift including weekends in a pattern m/m/e/e/n/n (2 morning/2 afternoon/ 2 nights and then 4 days off) (weekends (Saturday/Sunday) cwk will work 5 out of 7 weekends).
