The Role
As a Supply Chain Planner you will be focused on managing the supply chain for medicines produced by Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) in Europe. The main goal of this position is to ensure a continuous and uninterrupted supply of our clients products to patients worldwide by managing every step in the supply chain process, from production planning to final delivery.
Responsibilities
- Manage production planning, master data setup, and demand forecasting to ensure an accurate production schedule.
- Plan and allocate drug substance (DS) and drug product (DP) production while overseeing MRP (Material Requirements Planning) for supply and demand.
- Execute SAP tasks, including production orders, material transfers, purchase orders, and invoice approvals.
- Oversee raw material management, including order quantities, delivery timing, safety stocks, and issue resolution with vendors.
- Coordinate logistics, managing shipping schedules, creating shipping lanes for GMP products, and leading readiness meetings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Process Development, Quality) to ensure efficient supply chain operations.
- Analyze supply chain data using SAP, providing reports and recommendations to support executive decision-making.
- Lead continuous improvement projects, identify risks, and implement solutions to optimize inventory, reduce costs, and prevent stock-outs.
- Master’s in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain with 2+ years of experience, or Bachelor’s with 4+ years of experience in Supply Chain or Manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of Pharmaceutical/Biotech Supply Chain, GMP processes, and experience with SAP or similar systems.
- Proven ability to analyze data, solve complex issues, and manage risk, with expertise in continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma).
- Experience leading multiple projects, driving performance, and collaborating in a matrix organization.
- Familiarity with digital tools for process improvement and strong communication skills to engage global stakeholders effectively.
