Role Description
As the Investigations and Improvement Head you will lead and manage the Investigation & Improvement department, driving process improvements, overseeing team activities, collaborating across departments, managing production challenges, and ensuring product quality, all while aligning departmental objectives with the broader production plan in the pharmaceutical industry.
 
Responsibilities
-Lead the Investigation & Improvement department and support Operations through expertise, process development, and improvement implementation (via CAPA and Change control).
-Participate in pharmaceutical production, challenge processes, conduct investigations (gDR), and analyze batch documentation to ensure optimal workflows and product quality.
-Develop, implement, and manage departmental objectives aligned with the annual production plan.
-Provide leadership for the Investigation & Improvement (I&I) team, fostering continuous improvement.
-Plan, prioritize, and oversee departmental activities to ensure alignment with broader operational goals.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, RA, etc.) to address and resolve production challenges.
-Manage and mentor a team of Project Professionals and Pharmaceutical Specialists, promoting development and maintaining high performance.
-Lead investigations into production deviations and implement corrective actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.
-Promote a data-driven approach to analyse processes and identify improvement opportunities.
-Participate in and prepare for inspections and audits by national and international authorities.
-Report departmental progress and performance to senior leadership.
 
Requirements
-Minimum bachelor's degree in Pharmaceuticals or related
-Strong experience driving production orientated improvements and investigations in Pharmaceuticals
-Experience leading a team
-Strong GMP experience
-Strong analytical mindset to conduct root-cause analysis
-Experience working and implementing process improvement
-Fluency in English Required, Dutch is welcomed
