The Role:
We’re seeking a skilled and certified E&I ATEX Engineer to join a critical project in Rotterdam. In this role, you will independently perform a Risk Inventory and Evaluation (RI&E) for approximately 1,300 electrical and instrumentation devices installed prior to 2003. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a high-impact project and contribute to safety and compliance in the chemical industry.
 
Key Responsibilities:
-Conduct comprehensive site surveys for known equipment.
-Perform detailed risk assessments for electrical and instrumentation equipment
-Document findings clearly and systematically.
-Propose alternative equipment where risk assessments identify failures.
-Provide weekly progress updates to the Engineering Lead.
 
Requirements:
-Demonstrable training and certification as an E&I ATEX Engineer.
-Experience in the chemical industry, with familiarity with Dutch directives (NEN-EN-IEC_60079-xx).
-VCA-VOL certification and an ATEX-certified camera.
-Ability to commute to the site using a personal vehicle.
-A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
