Role Description
The position requires a dynamic individual with expertise in supply chain, logistics, and supplier management, especially in cold chain and warehousing environments. The role involves overseeing processes that span across multiple departments and geographies, with a focus on optimizing operations, managing suppliers, and driving improvements. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, results-driven environment. A key component of the role will be fostering relationships with suppliers, ensuring their alignment with organizational goals while maintaining high standards of performance.
Responsibilities
- Managing and optimizing logistics operations, with a focus on supply chain, cold chain, and warehousing functions.
- Overseeing supplier relationships and ensuring service levels and performance improvements.
- Leading and executing cross-departmental projects, managing timelines, resources, and stakeholders.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers to align on goals and deliverables.
- Analyzing and visualizing data to provide insights and drive decision-making.
- Preparing and presenting reports, ensuring clear communication of key findings and progress.
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, such as GMP and GDP.
- Supporting the development of service level agreements (SLAs) and monitoring their execution.
- Traveling up to 25% of the time and participating in conference calls outside regular working hours.
Requirements
- A Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Supply Chain/Logistics, Change Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Min. 2 years of relevant experience in the supply chain/logistics sector.
- Min 5 years of experience in logistics, with a focus on supplier management.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain, cold chain, and warehousing operations.
- Solid project management experience across multiple teams and locations.
- Fluent in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Expertise in MS Excel and strong analytical capabilities.
- Proven ability to work independently, under pressure, and in team settings.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to be both diplomatic and firm when necessary.
- A results-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and excellence.
- Familiarity with GMP and GDP regulations.
- Knowledge of Operational Excellence methodologies, such as Six Sigma and FMEA.
- Experience with SAP and BW systems.
- Experience in developing and managing service level agreements (SLAs).
