Role Description
The Global Quality Control (QC) Director will be responsible for crafting and executing our comprehensive Quality Control strategy. This role will focus on standardizing and scaling Quality Control practices to maximize efficiency and uphold quality across our supply chain. As a crucial part of our leadership team, the QC Director will guide efforts to deliver best-in-class quality standards and implement impactful improvements throughout our production network.
Responsibilities
- Develop and Implement Quality Control Strategy
Shape and deliver a long-term Quality Control agenda aligned with organizational goals. The QC Director will create and execute a roadmap to enhance quality performance, promote knowledge sharing, and improve process efficiency, making a meaningful impact on the company’s objectives. - Lead Strategic Quality Control Initiatives
Initiate and oversee high-impact Quality Control projects, balancing business risks and ensuring these initiatives contribute directly to company success. Serve as an authority on quality control, providing strategic insights and influencing company direction within QA, R&D, and technology. - Innovate and Advance Quality Standards
Translate industry trends into Quality Control concepts that drive performance improvements. Use deep expertise to develop new standards, capabilities, and applications that offer significant benefits to the organization. - Establish and Strengthen Networks
Enhance the visibility of the company’s Quality Control objectives by building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, customers, and research organizations. Represent the company in external partnerships and alliances, promoting collaboration that supports Quality Control innovation and aligns with organizational goals. - Mentor and Develop Talent
Act as a mentor and resource within the company, guiding team members and disseminating expertise across the organization. Encourage a collaborative culture, sharing best practices and fostering professional growth to strengthen the Quality Control team
Requirements
- Advanced degree with a solid foundation in Quality Management at both strategic and operational levels.
- 10+ years in quality or operational management roles with experience leading Quality Control functions and a strong grasp of industry regulations and standards.
- Proven success in implementing Good Manufacturing Practices, especially within the infant and toddler food sectors, with a solid history of quality improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to create and execute quality strategies that align with organizational objectives, balancing rigorous quality standards with profitability.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels and fostering a cohesive, results-driven environment.
- Strong track record in mentoring and developing team members, sharing expertise, and promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement within Quality Control.
