Role Description
The Industrial Automation Engineer is part of the OT Team, responsible for ensuring smooth, uninterrupted automation in factory operations. This role involves managing and optimizing automated processes, solving complex hardware/software issues, and advising on process automation. The OT Engineer will also be responsible for cybersecurity within the OT domain and developing SCADA and software standards.

Responsibilities
– Oversee and optimize automated business processes; contribute to long-term vision.
– Troubleshoot and analyze complex hardware/software issues.
– Stay updated on new technologies and automation developments.
– Serve as the main point of contact for process automation guidance.
– Manage OT assets and lifecycle systems (CMDB).
– Oversee software change management (Versiondog / Octoplant).
– Implement ITIL procedures within OT.
– Enhance cybersecurity in the OT domain.
– Develop SCADA and software standards.
– Create technical documentation (FDS, SDS).

Requirements
– HBO work/thinking level.
– 4+ years in industrial automation (preferably food or pharmaceuticals).
– Proficiency in Siemens PLCs (TIA Portal, Step7).
– Knowledge of SCADA and MES systems (Aveva).
– Familiarity with industrial networks (profinet, profibus, etc.).
– Experience with VMware, Windows Server, SQL.
– Understanding of ISA-88, ISA-95, and ITIL processes.
– Strong communication skills and ability to manage external parties.
– Proficiency in Dutch and English.
