About the Position
We are seeking a skilled Turnaround Coordinator – Electrical & Instrumentation to join our client’s team for a critical turnaround project. This role is ideal for a highly organized professional with extensive experience in turnaround planning, scheduling, and execution within the E&I domain. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all turnaround activities related to electrical and instrumentation systems, ensuring that projects are executed safely, on time, and within scope.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate turnaround activities for electrical and instrumentation (E&I) systems, beginning one year before the project execution phase.
- Manage the scope, scheduling, and budget, addressing any significant deviations in these areas.
- Ensure contractors provide the necessary manpower and resources for efficient project execution and supervise contractor performance.
- Monitor and adjust the turnaround schedule, assessing field progress and contractor reports to ensure adherence to timelines.
- Facilitate daily area meetings to stay updated on project status and address any immediate challenges.
- Support the turnaround team by maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and procedure adherence throughout the project.
- Conduct a post-turnaround evaluation focusing on planning, materials use, procedural efficiency, and organization.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years in turnaround projects or maintenance coordination within the electrical and instrumentation sectors.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of interlock systems, schedule management (preferably with P6), and resource allocation for large-scale projects.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and contractors, prioritize conflicting needs, and drive projects to completion.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Skills: Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills with the capacity to work effectively under time-sensitive conditions.
