Role Description:
The Senior Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing the integration of procurement functions following an acquisition. This role requires a proactive individual capable of working independently while collaborating with various teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement within large, complex organizations, particularly in the pharmaceutical sector.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and facilitate the procurement integration process post-acquisition.
- Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to enhance supplier performance and cost efficiency.
- Analyse the supplier base for categorization and risk assessment.
- Manage contracts with a focus on understanding business and legal implications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for procurement activities and report on outcomes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive change initiatives.
- Evaluate and assess cost models in supply contracts and their impact on business performance.
Requirements:
- At least 4 years of experience in procurement roles within large, complex organizations.
- Proven ability to manage medium to large-scale change initiatives effectively.
- Strong contract management skills with a solid understanding of business and legal aspects.
- Good financial understanding of cost models in supply contracts and their implications.
- Experience in procurement within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; a master’s degree is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Dutch and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Willingness to work 3 days a week in the office and 2 days remotely.
