Role Description 

As a QA Specialist you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met across our production site in Breda. You will be the key contact for quality-related topics, supporting various teams and initiatives to uphold compliance and drive continuous improvement.  

Responsibilities

  • Acting as the primary contact for the production team on quality-related matters.
  • Serving as backup for the QA Coordinator and as the first point of contact for quality issues and external audits.
  • Conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with FSSC22000 standards and Quality Management Systems.
  • Leading outsourced pest control activities and inspections, ensuring continuous improvement and effective collaboration.
  • Developing, maintaining, and leading the environmental monitoring program and related corrective actions.
  • Investigating complaints, conducting root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Registering production samples at the laboratory for analysis and ensure all records are properly maintained.
  • Supporting and leading quality activities such as HACCP, audits, and relevant projects.
  • Managing validation and verification activities for new projects and ongoing operations.
  • Leading quality training and upskilling programs for factory personnel.
  • Handling and documenting complaints and investigations in the relevant systems.
  • Providing support during external audits and visits, ensuring compliance and readiness. 

Requirements

  • Minimum of MBO-level education in food technology or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the food industry.
  • Familiarity with current legislation regarding food safety and labeling.
  • Detail-oriented, structured, and strong analytical skills.
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills; approachable and collaborative.
  • Proactive, solution-driven mindset with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Adaptable and flexible in a dynamic environment, with the ability to handle pressure and prioritize tasks.
  • Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
