Role description
As a Senior C++ Embedded Engineer within the Digital Processing group of the Electronics Systems & IoT Department, you will play a key role in accelerating innovation and developing first-of-a-kind healthcare solutions. You will work on embedded application software for both current and future products, collaborating closely with global teams. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the future of healthcare by combining connected consumer propositions with medical devices.
Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, integrating, and testing embedded systems or subsystems for healthcare products.
- Focusing on consumer needs and technological competitiveness while maintaining an outside-in approach to design.
- Ensuring that all designs comply with stringent medical device standards.
- Inspiring, mentoring, and supporting an engineering team, promoting continuous improvement.
- Adapting to changing environments and continuously improving personal and team performance.
- Creating and managing personal schedules, providing regular progress updates in a structured manner.
- Providing input for project planning to the project leader.
- Ensuring comprehensive documentation for all developed software.
- Combining existing and/or purchased modules into components that can be integrated into functional systems.
- Leading initiatives for technological improvements and collaborating with specialists on future-oriented studies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Software Engineering, Informatics, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in networked prototype or product development.
- Proven experience with development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum.
- Strong experience in C++ coding, along with expertise in object-oriented analysis and design.
- Excellent technical skills in embedded software development for microcontrollers.
- Strong analytical skills for problem-solving, using system debugging and functional simulation testing.
- Proficiency in using version control systems and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and a willingness to work in a dynamic, innovative environment.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to contribute to new and innovative projects.
- Work within an Agile framework on highly innovative projects.
- Engage with a global team, focusing on continuous improvement of both deliverables and work processes.
