Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Protein Scientist with expertise in plant proteins to join our Advanced Protein Team for a 6-month temporary assignment. As a key member of our R&D team, you will lead experimental designs and contribute to the development of innovative plant-based protein solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead Experimental Design: Develop and execute experiments focused on food protein ingredients and product matrices, with an emphasis on functionality, stability, molecular properties, and ingredient interactions.
• Data Interpretation: Analyze experimental data, extract insights, and contribute to scientific reporting.
• Project Management: Manage project timelines, ensure milestones are achieved, and maintain effective communication with stakeholders.
• Team Guidance: Provide leadership and mentorship to two team members.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Advanced Protein Team and other departments to integrate protein expertise and drive innovation.

Requirements

• Educational Background: PhD in Protein Science, with a focus on plant protein functionality and characterization. Experience with protein applications in beverages and soft solid matrices is a plus.
• Experience: Preferably over 2 years of work experience post-PhD.
• Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data, interpret results, and draw meaningful conclusions.
• Project Management: Proven experience in managing projects, meeting deadlines, and coordinating tasks efficiently.
• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a small team.
• Communication: Transparent, self-starting, and independent, with excellent communication skills.
