Role Description
As a Senior Process Engineer, you will lead the engineering design of a pharmaceutical spray drying and powder handling facility. Working within a matrix organization, you’ll collaborate with seasoned engineers across disciplines—process, mechanical, HVAC, civil, and commissioning. You’ll also engage with end-users and work closely with project managers, engineers, cost controllers, and schedulers. A key aspect of your role will be partnering with external design teams to ensure cost-effective designs that align with the project’s intent.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in spray drying and powder handling within pharmaceutical or food environments.
• Establish and maintain strong collaborations with Global Engineering Services (GES) and end-user SMEs.
• Develop and sustain relationships with design and construction partners across Europe.
• Review designs from suppliers and design partners to ensure compliance with engineering and safety standards, procedures, best practices, and design guides.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in (Bio)Pharmaceutical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Food Technology required.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Food or High-Tech industries as a design engineer in capital projects.
• Familiarity with EudraLex Volume 4 Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines, EU GMP Annex 1, EHEDG, and ISPE guidelines.
• High-level insight into construction processes of pharmaceutical or food facilities and equipment integration in buildings.
