Our client is a global biotech company focuses on the development, production and marketing of vaccines and antibodies to prevent and combat infectious diseases.
 

Role Description
As a EHS Engineer you will work under the guidance of the EH&S Manager and provide engineering support to ensure compliance with local Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability policies and standards.

Responsibilities
– Expert in Occupational Hygiene topics such as noise, ergonomics, and chemical exposure, as well as Transport Safety and EH&S Risk Assessments like JSAs and risk assessments.
– Lead or support the implementation of EH&S Standards within your area of expertise.
– Coach or lead teams of EH&S Representatives and Standards Owners/SMEs as part of Integrated Ownership of Safety Standards (IOSS).
– Lead internal and external audits and inspections, including ISO 14001, ISO 45001, EH&S Audits, and reviews by governmental agencies.
– Conduct EH&S-related risk assessments, including facility, ergonomic, and chemical risk assessments.

Requirement
– Bachelor's degree or equivalent in chemical, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
– 3 to 5 years of experience in EH&S, particularly in lab, R&D, chemical, and/or biological environments.
– Additional qualifications such as Safety Manager Level 3 (“HVK”) and/or Industrial Hygiene (“AH”) or equivalent is a plus.
– Proficient in Dutch and English.
– Experience with international management system standards like ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
– Experience in managing Emergency Response.
