EH&S Engineer

The Company
Our client is a global biotech company focuses on the development, production and marketing of vaccines and antibodies to prevent and combat infectious diseases.

Role Description
Under the direction of EH&S Manager, provides engineering support to ensure Environment, Health, Safety and Sustainability according to Local EH&S policies and standards.

Responsibilities
– Expert in Occupational Hygiene subjects (e.g. noise, ergonomics, exposure to chemicals), Transport Safety, EH&S Risk Assessments.
– Lead and / or support the implementation of EH&S Standards within your field of expertise. – Coach / lead teams of EH&S Representatives and Standards Owners / SME’s as part of Integrated Ownership of Safety Standards.
– Perform EH&S assessments within projects and set up, lead and / or support EH&S projects.
– Lead incident investigations.
– Conduct EH&S related risk assessments like facility, ergonomic and chemical risk assessments
– Give EH&S training on EH&S related topics
– Present periodically to the Site Leadership Team
– Develop and/or improve EH&S processes and practices

Requirements
– Bachelor or comparable level (chemical, mechanical, electrical) 
– At least 5 years’ experience in the field or EH&S (lab, R&D, chemical and/or biological environment)
– Fluent in Dutch and English
– Experience with international Management System Standards like ISO 14001 & ISO 45001
– Experience with management of Emergency Response
