Role description
As an Electrical Engineer within the Site Engineering department, you will play a critical role in managing and executing technical designs and projects within a highly regulated biological and pharmaceutical production environment. Your expertise will ensure that electrical systems and installations meet stringent quality and environmental standards, supporting the production of animal medicines in cleanroom settings.
Responsibilities
- Developing and managing technical designs of electrical systems and installations within a biological and pharmaceutical environment, ensuring compliance with cGMP and biosafety regulations.
- Executing monodisciplinary projects independently with minimal supervision. Oversee and supervise contractors and external engineering agencies, ensuring that project goals are met within scope, budget, and timelines.
- Preparing and supervising quotation requests, assessing quotations, and managing contract formation for engineering and execution work. Supervise negotiations related to additional or reduced project work.
- Assisting internal customers in developing user requirement specifications for electrical installations, providing expert advice and ensuring their needs are met effectively.
- Staying informed on relevant regulations and standards, ensuring all designs and projects adhere to the necessary legal and industry requirements.
- Maintaining structured documentation of agreements, decisions, and technical justifications throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring clear and accessible records.
Requirements
- HBO/HBO+ education level, preferably in HTS Electrical Engineering or HIT.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in executing projects within pharmaceutical or food production environments, independently and under project manager supervision.
- Knowledge of cGMP and biosafety regulations.
- Experience with AutoCAD and basic design skills.
- Proficiency in designing electrical systems for cleanroom environments, with knowledge of containment and decontamination systems.
- Ability to assess and negotiate contracts and work scope changes with external partners.
- Independent, task-oriented, and flexible, with a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Hands-on mentality with a focus on engineering, not just project management.
- Strong communication skills, organized, and driven to achieve project goals.
- Proficiency in Dutch, both written and spoken, is required.
- Familiarity with cleanroom construction and HVAC aspects in pharmaceutical or biotechnological environments.
- Experience in environmentally friendly design practices.
- Knowledge of decontamination systems for cleanrooms, particularly those utilizing hydrogen peroxide.
- Affinity with construction and HVAC systems within a pharmaceutical or biotechnological setting.
