Role Description
The Senior Digital Designer/Integrator will be responsible for designing mixed-signal ASICs for biomedical applications at Philips Research, working closely with digital, analog, and mixed-signal teams. The role requires a strong background in digital ASIC design, verification, and integration, with proficiency in VHDL, System Verilog, and knowledge of bus protocols and peripherals.

Responsibilities
-Design and verify digital components of ASICs, ensuring alignment with project specifications and supporting digital verification and physical implementation activities.
– Collaborate closely with analog and mixed-signal teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality, and regularly report progress and issues to the project leader and customers.
– Translate customer requirements into clear digital design proposals and manage complex IP blocks integration, following the complete digital ASIC design flow from architecture to physical implementation.

– Implement bus protocols and peripherals such as USB, SPI, I2C, UART, and apply DFT insertion techniques including test-pattern generation to ensure robust and testable designs.

Requirements
-Understanding of digital ASIC design flow.
-knowledge of VHDL, system Verilog and preferably Python.
-Experience in IC realization of DSP algorithms and functions for sensor interfacing applications.
-Good understanding of bus protocols and peripherals such as USB, SPI, I2C, UART etc. required.
