About the position
The Demand Planner will play a critical role within the Europe Supply Chain team, focusing on demand planning processes. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation and continuity of business activities, particularly those related to demand forecasting, inventory management, and stakeholder coordination. The successful candidate will manage key performance indicators (KPIs) such as service levels, forecast accuracy, and waste management, while continuously seeking improvements in the demand planning process.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain demand plans based on statistical forecasts for both operational and tactical horizons.
  • Ensure optimal planning processes that align with the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) framework.
  • Translate business dynamics, including new product developments (NPD), promotions, events, seasonality, and other factors, into actionable demand plans.
  • Manage KPIs related to service levels, forecast accuracy, forecast bias, and waste (obsolesces).
  • Maintain effective stakeholder management, working closely with sales, marketing, finance, and supply planning teams.
  • Provide solid customer communication based on factual data from Make & Demand plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement in demand planning processes through analysis and implementation of improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • A commercial mindset with a strong customer focus.
  • Broad understanding and experience with SAP and planning tools, with a preference for knowledge of SAP APO-SNP.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proactive, pragmatic, and analytical skills.
  • Relevant work experience in demand planning, with familiarity with planning tools such as PowerBI and S&OP being advantageous.
  • The role allows for remote work, with two mandatory office days on Monday and Thursday.
