Role Description:
As the Safety Manager, your main job is to make sure our safety programs are really good. You’ll make sure we follow all the rules and standards, and you’ll help make our safety system even better. Your work will help us be safer and work better. This job will teach you a lot about safety and help you grow in your career.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and follow safety rules and programs based on local and company regulations.
  • Regularly check for possible dangers, assess risks, and make sure effective safety measures are in place.
  • Lead teams to prioritize safety, care for the environment, and always find ways to do things better.
  • Work with different parts of the company to make sure safety is considered in all plans and decisions.
  • Stay updated on safety trends and rules by talking to regulators, industry groups, and other partners.
  • Investigate incidents and problems to learn from them and make things safer in the future.
  • Teach and organize programs to help employees understand and be a part of safety efforts.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety, occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field.
  • Five years of experience in managing safety and environmental health, preferably in industries like pharmaceuticals or biotechnology.
  • Good understanding of important safety and environmental regulations and standards, like GMP and ISO 14001.
  • Successfully designed and implemented safety and environmental health programs, policies, and plans in the past.
  • Skilled in investigating incidents, finding their root causes, and managing corrective actions.
