Role description
The current emphasis at ASIC is on crafting a variety of mixed-signal Application-Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs) geared towards biomedical usage. These ASICs, built on CMOS technology, primarily manage sensor interfacing duties alongside a significant digital aspect. In an exciting and forward-thinking endeavor, the chosen individual will be pivotal in the creation and validation of digital systems and sub-systems within a cooperative team comprising digital architects, backend engineers, and FPGA engineers.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhance digital designs for ASIC integration.
  • Develop a detailed test strategy in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
  • Execute verification of ASIC’s digital elements, spanning from individual blocks to the entire system.
  • Develop and oversee automated test scripts to streamline verification processes.
  • Verify across various process conditions and with post-layout configurations.
  • Assist mixed-signal verification engineers as needed.
  • Collaborate on existing designs, refining them as required.
  • Deliver consistent progress updates and problem resolutions to team leaders, project managers, and clients.
  • Execute FPGA prototyping as required.
  • Contribute to the validation of silicon products.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering from a reputable university.
  • At least 4 years of hands-on experience in digital design and verification.
  • Solid grasp of digital ASIC design processes, covering system architecture through RTL to Post-layout stages.
  • Proficient in VHDL, Verilog, and System Verilog, and skilled in using Cadence tools.
  • Experienced in co-simulating digital and analog IPs to validate mixed-signal systems comprehensively.
  • Familiarity with integrating various IP blocks including memories, dual-port memories, and OTP.
  • Bonus points for experience in interfacing at high speeds of Gb/s.
