Role Description
As Equipment Engineer you need to make sure that the processes and equipment used in different departments like Fermentation, Pre-culture, Bioreactor Assembly, Primary Recovery, Downstream Processing, and Column Packing are safe and work well. Also fix any problems that come up during production and work on projects to make things better.
Responsibilities

– Collaborate with different teams and outside manufacturing partners to make sure our equipment meets various quality, safety, and compliance standards.
– Start and lead projects to make processes and equipment better. This means making sure that changes are done right, improving business, and setting clear goals with a team.
– Make sure we make things safer, work better, and have better quality equipment and processes.
– Create a plan to keep our equipment working well for a long time and make sure we have a team to take care of it over its lifetime.
– Take charge in looking into problems that happen during production, find out what went wrong, and make sure we fix it or prevent it from happening again.

Requirement

– Higher professional education (HBO) or university education (WO) in a related field, such as pharmaceutical sciences, biotechnology, biochemistry, life sciences, etc.
– Familiarity with production procedures and equipment in the upstream sector is preferred, ideally with a background in both upstream and downstream processing.
– Capable of working in a very clean and high-quality setting following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
– Proficient in English, both spoken and written. Proficiency in Dutch, both spoken and written, is a plus.
