Role Description
This role is centered around efficiently managing transports and documentation for road & sea transports from the site in the Netherlands to over 100 countries across the globe. Next to great planning skills and setting right priorities, it is essential to have excellent communication with all relevant stakeholders like markets, factories, carriers, 3PL partners and Transport control tower. We are looking for a high potential candidate with the ambition and ability to grow fast in order to build a great Supply chain career
Responsibilities
– Develop delivery and shipment plans for finished goods from the site for road and sea transport, coordinating with all relevant shipping or receiving parties.
– Manage product demand and stock levels in collaboration with affiliate markets to ensure excellent service levels and product freshness.
– Handle sea transport order bookings for external loading points, ensuring alignment with stakeholders.
– Prepare accurate documentation accompanying shipments.
– Record all transactions correctly in SAP.
– Ensure correct preparation of documents by shipments department associates, following internal and external procedures. Organize storage of documentation according to local and corporate requirements.
– Collaborate proactively with other planners across the End2End supply chain, providing updates on in-transit situations.
– Identify opportunities to optimize departure organization and minimize logistical costs, including transport, handling, and capital/demurrage costs.
– Ensure compliance with import and export processes, including the availability of required procedures and documentation.
– Timely escalate issues and problem-solve with the logistics team.
Requirements
– Higher education or university degree, preferably in logistics.
– Ability to learn and grow quickly, with the potential to be a high-potential starter. – Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
– Proficient in Dutch and English.
– Customer-focused and service-oriented.
