Role Description
As a Hazard Communication Specialist you will play an integral role in various projects that involve assessing and certifying new chemicals. Your primary responsibilities will focus on different aspects, such as safety, usability, and environmental impact, based on specific requirements. Your duties will include entering this vital information into the organization’s systems.

Responsibilities
-Managing substance data in the EHS substance database, which involves data entry, modification, and verification.
-Responsible for the classification of substance mixtures, including waste, and verifying proprietary and vendor substances’ classifications
-Check hazard labels, identify substances with legal restrictions
-Ensure compliance with laws and regulations regarding hazardous substances
-You will communicate changes in substance risk data, procedures, documents, labels, and regulations to stakeholders.

Requirements
-Proficiency in using SAP and Excel for substance management tasks
-Experience with calculation rules in the CLP and knowledge of relevant legal requirements
-Familiarity with various chemical laws and regulations such as REACH, CLP, PGS-15, ADR, and other regulations
-Basic understanding of physical, chemical, and toxicological properties of substances
-Effective communication skills for engaging with various stakeholders.
-3-5 years of working experience in chemical management industry
