Role Description
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Legal Counsel to join their legal team in the Benelux & Nordics cluster. As a Legal Counsel, you will provide a full range of legal advice and services, working in close collaboration with the General Benelux & Nordics on various legal matters for the cluster. You will be responsible for managing corporate related legal support for the Netherlands, in close collaboration with the General Counsel Corporate & Transactions. Your responsibilities will be within the legal function as a generalist or in a combination of disciplines. 

Key Responsibilities
-Provide legal support on a variety of commercial matters for the Benelux & Nordics cluster, including the manufacturing site in Haarlem.
-Draft and negotiate commercial contracts with third and internal parties to safeguard and promote client’s best interests.
-Proactively identify potential legal risks and assist in implementing strategies to minimize those risks.
-Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, as well as with the client’s global and local policies.
-Contribute to building the business partner role of the entire legal group, foster creativity and entrepreneurial mind-set to create opportunities for the business.

Requirements
-Dutch law degree  
-Between 3 and 5 years of experience in private practice, top-tier law firm (preferably corporate or life science section)
-Some understanding of pharmaceutical market in NL and EU is preferred
-Self-starter with a proactive attitude and a strong drive to achieve results Commercial acumen and negotiation skills
-Project management skills
-Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines 
-Demonstrated ability to counsel effectively from a legal and business perspective
