 Our client is a pharmaceutical manufacturing company located in Haarlem, the Netherlands. The site specializes in the production of pharmaceutical products and employs a large team of professionals dedicated to ensuring the high-quality standards of the products manufactured.

About the role
The Quality control manager is leading a team of 10+ analysts to perform release testing of raw materials and ICP drug products. Additionally, this role involves collaborating with stakeholders to plan activities aligned with the QC organization’s strategy, commitments, and goals, acting as a subject matter expert, and taking responsibility for planning and problem solving.

Responsibilities
Supervise the regular testing of ICP releases and raw materials/packaging.

-Direct the team in performing routine analytical tests.

-Ensure that the laboratory maintains quality in compliance with Site SOPs, regulatory guidelines, and cGXP requirements, and establish a culture of quality improvement.

-Possess expert knowledge in analytical analysis, conducting in-depth root cause analyses and problem-solving, and acting as a subject matter expert during audits.

-Responsible for meeting business demands related to ICP release testing and raw material/packaging testing.

-Facilitate communication with stakeholders from different departments, such as Production, QC administration, and Supply Chain.

-Manage the team and resources by identifying talent, actively managing performance, planning for succession, developing employees, and modeling the company’s values.

Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in analytical chemistry/pharmacy, or equivalent experience.
Experience conducting routine analytical testing in a pharmaceutical setting is required.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (Dutch would be a big plus)
