Role description
As a Trade Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for provide analytical customs service for the units across European Union, to analyze and interpret the data collected from European customs brokers, assuring that the import clearance process and accompanying documentation meet required level of accuracy and compliance to EU customs law.

Responsibilities
 – European Union customs data analysis.
– Customs duties and vat calculations/verifications
– Customs and logistics documents verification.
– Administrative tasks like record keeping and data retention.
– To verify elements of import customs declaration efficiently and accurately in particular customs classification, customs valuation, Incoterms, understanding of free trade agreements and preferential origin processes.

Requirements
– Specialized knowledge in trade and customs compliance regulations operating in the European Union
– Degree/ Certificate in Compliance, International Logistics, Customs Work or International Studies preferred.
– Understanding of critical customs aspects like customs classification, customs valuation, Incoterms, free trade agreements and preferential origin processes.
– Well organized and able to prioritize their work effectively.
– Strong attention to details.
– Advanced knowledge of MS excel.
– Experience in complex CPG, brokerage or consulting environments.
