Role Description
As the Trade Compliance Specialist you will provide analytical customs service for the client’s units across European Union. You are expected to analyze and interpret the data collected from European customs brokers, assuring that the import clearance process and accompanying documentation meet required level of accuracy and compliance to EU customs law.
 
Responsibilities
 -Be part of a team accountable for customs operations in Europe
– European Union customs data analysis, customs duties and vat calculations/verifications, customs and logistics documents verification, administrative tasks like record keeping and data retention.
-Work with in EU customs environment, has knowledge required to verify elements of import customs declaration efficiently and accurately in particular customs classification, customs valuation, Incoterms, understanding of free trade agreements and preferential origin processes.
 
Requirements 
-Specialized knowledge in trade and customs compliance regulations operating in the European Union  
-Understanding of critical customs aspects like customs classification, customs valuation, Incoterms, free trade agreements and preferential origin processes
-Advanced knowledge of MS excel.
-Minimum 3-4 years progressive experience in complex CPG, brokerage, or consulting environments.
-Free Trade agreements, Tariff Classification, Trade/Customs Law experience
-Degree/ Certificate in Compliance, International Logistics, Customs Work or International Studies preferred
-Fluent in English +, other language skills preferred
-Food/CPG experience preferred
