The Role
As a Packaging Operator, you will be responsible for the final stage of pharmaceutical production, ensuring medicines are packaged safely, accurately, and efficiently. Operating within a GMP-regulated environment, you will manage fully automated packaging lines, perform first-line maintenance, and contribute to process improvements using Lean Six Sigma methodologies. 

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor automated packaging and labeling machinery in compliance with GMP and EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) standards

• Perform equipment set-up, start-up, cleaning, and line clearance procedures

• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues; perform basic maintenance as needed

• Monitor product quality throughout the packaging process to ensure it meets specifications

• Accurately complete batch records and documentation in both SAP and manual systems (First Time Right principle)

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma (LSS) tools

• Collaborate closely with the production team and report directly to the Operations Manager

• Work according to the ATM shift schedule, including night shifts

Requirements

• MBO Level 2 diploma (or willingness to obtain one); prior education may be assessed via an MBO test

• Preferably some experience in pharmaceutical or technical packaging operations

• Strong technical aptitude with an interest in machinery and automation

• Proficient in Dutch with a basic understanding of English (spoken and written)

• Comfortable working with MS Office and SAP systems
